Uploading Images
You can upload many images at one time using the Image Upload tool. A single image may be uploaded for each individual and each household. Images have a few requirements they must meet before they can be mass uploaded into Fellowship One.
Your images must be:
- smaller than 1MB
- a JPEG (*.jpg) graphic
- named with the unique Fellowship One individual ID, which is available from report A2700E-Photo Session Export of Individuals for individual images
- named with the unique Fellowship One household ID, which is available from report A2700E-Photo Session Export of Individuals for household images. You must expand the Additional Filters in this report and select Yes in the Display Household ID field.
Note: You must have the Administrator security access right to upload images.
To upload images
- Click the Admin > Image Upload > View Upload Status. The View Upload Status page appears. This is where you will verify the status of all images you upload.
- Click Upload images at the top of the grid. The batch upload dialog box opens.
Note: The first time you use this tool, you will need to install the image Uploader tool. Internet Explorer will display a yellow warning bar at the top of the screen. Click on the bar to install the tool. FireFox browsers will display a Warning dialog box. ClickRun to install the tool.
- Click Individual Images to upload photos of individuals or click Household Images to upload images of households.
- Click Add Files... to add individual files one by one or click Add Folders... to add an entire folder of images.
- Click Upload images to begin the process.
Images are uploaded in the order they were added. A status bar displays for each image as it is uploaded. When uploading is complete, a confirmation message appears.
Checking Status
You can check Admin > Image Upload > View Upload Status to review any files that may have failed during processing or are still pending. You may need to click the menu option again to refresh this page if you have not navigated away.
Failures can occur for one of the following reasons:
- The file name does not match an individual or household in the database. Remember that the file name must be the individual's unique database ID as printed in A2700E-Photo Session Export of Individuals or the household's unique database ID as displayed in the same report (make sure to expand the reports "Additional Filters" and select Yes in the Display Household ID field).
- The image file is too large to upload (must be less than 1MB)
Note: You will see all Failed and Pending files generated by all Fellowship One users that can access the Image Upload tool in the Image Processing Status list.
